Bromley captain Byron Webster has announced that Saturday's game against Walsall will be his last for the club. The 39-year-old centre-back has made 172 appearances for the Ravens since joining in 2020. He has captained the team through their rise from non-league to League One and was part of the team that won the FA Trophy in 2021-22. This season, he has played 14 times in all competitions as Bromley have won promotion to League One for the first time in their history. Webster has been a key player for the Ravens, scoring the winning penalty in their promotion-winning victory over Solihull Moors at Wembley. He has also played a key role in establishing the club as a League Two team, finishing 11th in the table last season. The Ravens' remarkable run to automatic promotion has coincided with a reduction in minutes for their skipper, with the likes of Omar Sowunmi and Kyle Cameron often preferred. Webster has been limited to just three appearances in 2026. He has been a loyal servant to the club and will be remembered as one of the greatest players in Bromley's history.
