Andy Woodman is using the international break to sharpen his Bromley squad for the challenges of League One. The manager said the time without a league fixture is essential for building fitness and understanding within his group.

Woodman's side, who sit 19th in the table with eight points from seven games, secured a morale-boosting 2-1 victory over Huddersfield last Saturday. Goals from John Joshua Mckiernan and Mikel Miller secured the three points, ending a difficult run of form.

The manager explained that a late influx of signings has contributed to some fitness issues within the squad. "We got a lot of them late, hence why some of them are getting injured, so I really need to get some time with them," Woodman said. He added that the players have responded well to intense training sessions over the last fortnight.

Woodman expressed full confidence in his players, stating, "I've never had a doubt about this group of players." He emphasised that the focus is now on ensuring every player understands their specific role and responsibility within the team structure. The squad's current status can be reviewed on our squad page.

Bromley do not have another League One match until they travel to face Mansfield Town on 10 October. Before that, they face Brentford Under-21s in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, a competition where they lost 1-0 to the same opponents just last week. Their next league outing is at home to 12th-placed Wycombe Wanderers this Saturday.
