Bromley extended their unbeaten run to three matches with a goalless draw against Cambridge United on Tuesday.
Shamal George made multiple key saves to deny Isaac Heath and Shane McLoughlin as the visitors pushed for a winner at Hayes Lane.
The Bromley stopper was called into action early, tipping over a lofted effort from Heath before later stopping a close-range effort from McLoughlin after a defensive mix-up.
George also denied a long-range effort from Liam Bennett, preserving the clean sheet as Bromley held firm despite Cambridge’s late pressure.
The result sees Bromley remain unbeaten in their opening League One fixtures, building on a point earned away at Burton Albion earlier in the month.
George’s performance was vital in securing the point, with the goalkeeper showing sharp reflexes and command of his area throughout the match.
Cambridge had chances to break the deadlock, particularly through Heath’s aerial attempts and McLoughlin’s late surge, but were unable to convert.
The draw keeps Bromley in contention early in the season as they look to establish themselves in League One following promotion.
Shamal George has now kept two clean sheets in Bromley’s first three league games of the campaign.
The goalkeeper, who joined the club in the summer, has quickly become a key figure in Andy Hessenthaler’s setup.
Bromley will look to build on this defensive resilience when they face Exeter City next Saturday at St James Park.
