Bromley FC Chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves has been named among leading figures from across world football on the shortlist for the Football Business Trailblazer Award at the 2026 Global Football Industry Awards. The recognition comes following a period of unprecedented transformation at Bromley Football Club, both on and off the pitch.
What happened?
Since becoming Chairman in 2019, Robin has brought the entrepreneurial mindset developed through his successful business career into football, consistently challenging established ways of working and placing long-term sustainability, investment, and continual improvement at the heart of the Club's development. This period has coincided with the most successful era in Bromley FC's history, with the Ravens lifting the FA Trophy at Wembley in 2022, securing promotion to the English Football League for the first time in 2024, and achieving a historic second promotion to reach Sky Bet League One, the highest level at which the Club has ever played.

The recognition is a testament to Robin's vision for Bromley FC as a 365-day-a-year community asset, deeply rooted in the borough it represents. His ambition has been to establish the Club as a hub for football development, education, and community engagement, reaching thousands of people across the borough.

The 2026 Global Football Industry Awards ceremony will take place at the Nobu Hotel, Portman Square, London, on Thursday 5th November. Chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves said: "To be recognised alongside some of the leading figures in the football industry is something I'm incredibly proud of."
Bromley FC has undergone significant investment in recent years, transforming the site at The CopperJax Community Stadium and the way the Club operates. New offices, academy facilities, training pitches, hospitality spaces, Broomfields Bar & Kitchen, and the new East Stand have helped create an environment where the first team, Academy, Community Trust, commercial operation, and wider Club can work collaboratively under one roof.
The Club's Community Trust has continued to grow, alongside the Academy, Women's and Girls' football, Veterans' programmes, and wider work across education, health, wellbeing, and community engagement. Chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves said: "Any recognition like this is also recognition of the tremendous people we have across Bromley Football Club. The Global Football Industry Awards recognise excellence and innovation away from the pitch across areas including investment, commercial development, sustainability, marketing, partnerships, grassroots development, diversity, and inclusion. The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 5th November at the Nobu Hotel, Portman Square, London.
