Cambridge United head coach Neil Harris knows exactly what to expect this weekend as his team travels to Bromley in League One on Saturday. The U's will look to make it three wins in a row, but Harris is well aware of the challenge that lies ahead.

The clubs know each other well after both winning promotion from League Two last season, with Bromley winning the title and finishing five points above Harris' men. The U's took four points off Bromley last term, winning 2-1 at home and drawing 0-0 in the away game in April.

"I'm a huge fan of identity and the way they play," said Harris. "They are relentless in their pursuit of getting the ball in the box and asking questions of you, and you have to stand up to it."

Harris also praised Bromley's new signings, saying that they have "a little bit of extra quality" compared to last season's team. He warned against anyone thinking that the game will be a walk in the park, saying that Bromley will try to impose themselves on his team.

"We have to stand up to their physicality and size but we have to be really good on the transition," Harris said. "We have to respect we're playing on somebody else's patch, we have to grow into the game and when our moments come along to dominate, we have to grab those moments and make them count."

The U's have a tough fixture on Saturday, but Harris is confident that his team can come out on top. "We go to Bromley and (fans are saying) 'we've got a huge chance of winning that game' but they won our league last year! That's how tough the game is going to be," he said.

What comes next?

After beating Barnet in the Carabao Cup to set up a clash with Harris' former club Millwall next midweek, Cambridge beat Wigan 3-2 at The Abbey last weekend to make a winning return to the third tier of English football. But Harris warned against anyone thinking it's going to be a walk in the park this weekend.

"Let's not get too excited because we've won two games, that's really important," he stated. "This is a real tough league we're in and we've got a tough fixture on Saturday."

What Harris expects from the transfer window

Harris expects movement at the end of the transfer window with Championship clubs not expected to alter their squads until after the Carabao Cup games have been played in midweek. He did disclose, however, that the U's are well placed to make their move.

"A lot more players are becoming available as we get to the last 10 days of the window," said Harris. "I think the Carabao Cup second round, there will be a big knock-on effect from that and you'll see proper movement in the last five or six days."
